Loket
A town on a prominent rocky promontory with a magnificent medieval castle and surrounded by the Ohří River on three sides, approximately 37 km from the town of Františkovy Lázně. It has a nice square with a baroque column of the Holy Trinity and several historic bourgeois houses. It is here, on the terrace of the White Horse Hotel, that Johann Wolfgang Goethe is said to have proposed to Ulrika von Lewetzov
